Web Developer 1: The Foundation

This course teaches the fundamentals of web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Students will learn to structure web content, apply styling and layout techniques, and make pages interactive and responsive across devices. For the final project, students will build and deploy a personal website to showcase their web development skills.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand and apply HTML for web content structuring and CSS for styling and layout.
- Leverage JavaScript to add interactivity and dynamic content to web pages.
- Apply CSS for responsive web design, making web pages accessible and visually appealing on any device.
- Build and deploy a personal website with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, showcasing their web development abilities.
Structure
Class meets for 45 minutes to 1 hour twice weekly for 8 weeks. There are 16 total sessions. Each session is a combination of interactive presentation, discussion, and hands-on activities. Students are expected to spend 1-2 hours per week on assignments and projects. There will be no class during Eid week.

Ecommerce 1: Fundamentals

This course teaches students the basics of launching and marketing online stores, covering e-commerce fundamentals, digital marketing, and operational management. The final project involves creating a detailed business plan or directly opening their own online store.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Understand e-commerce fundamentals, business models, and how to setup online stores.
- Apply digital marketing strategies, including SEO, paid ads, and establishing brand identity.
- Manage product sourcing, inventory, online payments, and customer service effectively.
- Create a detailed e-commerce business plan or open a store as a final project.
